Traceability for Pipe Fitting and Valve

Marking

For pipe fitting and valves, our marking includes but not limited to product design standard, size, working pressure, product application size, identification number, customer’s or judberd’s logo, and any other castings mark requested by the customer.

For the identification number, it is an identification code that we can use to trace the product. It usually consists of 11 digits as below

The identification is made of production year, month, date, the number of the furnace, the workshop series number , the number of the inspector of the finished product.

For example, on 15 March 2024, the castings produced by workshop A, the first furnace of iron on that day, the product inspected by No. 01, the identification code is

2024031501A01

According to this identification number, we have the inspection records of all the processes with this identification number, our customers can ask for a hard copy with the seal and signature of Judberd at any time, or customers can come to our factory or designate third party inspector come to our factory to carry out the inspection.

Traceability

We create an MTC (mill test certificate) file for the product according to the product’s identification number.


In this file, it consists of the material composition of the molten iron in the furnace where the product is produced, pre-furnace analysis data, chemical composition report made by spectrometer, mechanical property test data, grinding staff number, shot blasting grade, shot blasting staff number, machining requirements, machining staff number, coating requirements, coating staff number, assembling requirements, assembling staff number, and shipment records. As well as the corresponding inspection records and inspection personnel number for each process.


So if customers need our MTC, they only need to tell us the identification number on the product. We can provide the corresponding inspection records and all the production information about this product.

For some small parts, such as bolts, wedge etc., we will inspect them according to the batch, and they can be put into the warehouse only after passing the inspection. In the MTC of the product, we will record which batch of parts was used, and according to the batch number of the parts, we can access the inspection records of this batch of parts at any time.


As a result, the products manufactured by judberd are traceable, ensuring the satisfied quality of the products.
