Gate Valve for HDPE Pipe
Gate Valve for HDPE Pipe is a type of valve designed specifically to control the flow of fluids in HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) piping systems. HDPE pipes are known for their flexibility, toughness, and chemical resistance, and the gate valves used with them must be compatible with these characteristics. The gate valve operates by lifting or lowering a gate (wedge) within the valve body, allowing or blocking the flow of fluid.
With the popularity of HDPE Pipes, gate valves for connecting HDPE pipes are gaining more and more attention from valve manufacturers. Judberd’s gate valves for connecting HDPE pipes are classified into AWWA C515 standard and EN1074-2 standard. Judberd has designed gate valves with grip ring, flange adaptor and flexible coupling. These products all work on the same principle. When the pipe is pulled outward, the grip ring is driven to move to the narrow end of the ductile iron gland, at which time the caliber of the grip ring becomes smaller under the pressure of the ductile iron gland, thus tightening the grip on the HDPE pipe and achieving self-locking.

Manual
As the bolt is tightened, the ductile iron gland will be tightened, and then the grip ring moves toward the narrow end of the ductile iron gland, at which time the outer diameter of the grip ring shrinks, thus jamming the HDPE pipe, and when the HDPE pipe comes outward, it will also drive the grip ring to move toward the narrow end of the ductile iron gland, thus reducing the diameter of the grip ring and jamming the pipe more tightly. The locking force of the grip ring on the HDPE pipe is very large, thus ensuring that the pipe will not come out under the pressure of PN16. The following pipe is after the experiment, we can clearly see the grip traces which grip ring made on the HDPE pipe
