Restrained coupling is a pipe coupling with restrained ring , wedge etc to grip HDPE pipe to avoid pipe movement because of deformation. The restrained coupling is particularly suitable for applications where there is a risk of pipe movement due to pipe deformation, ground settlement, thermal expansion and contraction, water hammer, etc.
